Description

Scranton Dodge Chrysler Jeep is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.
• Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problem.
• Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications, using maintenance menus.
• Ensure that all repair orders are accounted for.
• If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time.
• Provide estimates for labor and parts.
• Establish time promised.
• Follow-up with the customer’s on the progress of their vehicles
• Be responsible for quality control to ensure that work is completed as requested and to reduce comebacks.
• Interpret warranty information and policies to customers.
• On completion of work, repair orders must be closed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive repair or service writing preferred.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must have great customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• CDK experience highly preferred
