Job Duties
Performs cardiology procedures listed below as per department policy and practice under physician order.
Evaluates all relevant clinical and demographic data prior to testing.
Performs the following tests: EKG
Communicates patient’s issues with other healthcare team members.
Always works as a cooperative part of the healthcare team.
Provides effective education to patients, students, and co-workers as assigned.
Performs emergency BLS procedures as required
Participates in departmental performance improvement activities.
Maintains clinical competency based upon established standards of practice, departmental requirements and current literature.
Documents all patient testing activity as is department policy including patient billing.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and follows all infection control standards and policies.
OTHER JOB DUTIES
Follow customer service policies, code of conduct, mission, and vision of the medical center.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization. This should be on every job description.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduation or equivalent required.
Successful completion of an approved course in EKG training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1-2 years of experience as a EKG Technician or equivalent required.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, and confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness. All responses should be timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations.
Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.
Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements.
Salary commensurate with experience within posted range.
BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND SCHEDULE:
$20.00-$22.67 DIFFERENTIALS EVE/NIGHT $2.40/ WEEKEND $1.75
