Equipment Mechanic bei Tendit Job Opportunities

The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aerial lift equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other related machinery. This position ensures that all equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and manufacturer standards. The mechanic will perform both shop-based and field service work, supporting construction, maintenance, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other aerial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including fluid checks, lubrication, adjustments, and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair control panels, wiring systems, safety switches, and hydraulic components.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to field service calls and perform on-site diagnostics and repairs when necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is returned to service in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with operations and rental teams to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, or aerial lift repair.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in shop and field environments.

Compensation for this position is $25.00 - $32.00, depending on experience.
