Senior Cost Estimator bei JPI

Description

We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to provide expert cost analysis and estimation for new construction, SCIF build-outs, and facility renovations across multiple U.S. locations. This position supports critical planning and budgeting for federal projects.
 

This role is contingent upon funding award and requires onsite presence at the USCG St. Elizabeths campus three days per week.

Responsibilities Include:

• Estimate build-out costs for new facilities, SCIFs, and renovations.
• Analyze project documentation including blueprints and technical specifications.
• Research labor, material, and equipment cost data, maintaining historical cost databases.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and generate detailed cost estimates, including risk and contingency planning.
• Prepare bid proposals, feasibility studies, and value engineering recommendations.
• Track and report on actual vs. estimated costs, presenting findings to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in cost estimating required.
• 10+ years of experience in cost engineering, estimation, and project planning.
• Strong knowledge of construction and manufacturing cost structures and estimation software.
• Experience supporting Federal projects, including SCIF or other specialized facility requirements.
