POSITION SUMMARY:

As Product Management Director, you will lead a focused team responsible for a few critical streams of work:

  • Leveraging our pipeline and our plant portfolio to drive faster adoption our Fall Creek genetics across multiple commercial platforms including Sekoya, Collection and various outlicensing programs. In this role you will work across many teams to build our product deployment strategy by GTM, price the product to drive growth and sustained product profitability in target regions. You will partner with commercial teams, marketing and finance to deliver results.
  • In close partnership with R&D and commercial teams, coordinate the advancement of plant products from our pre-commercial phase to our commercial launch, ultimately building our full commercial plant portfolio for Fall Creek including product lifecycle.
  • In collaboration with R&D teams to align on products that move from our early R&D pipeline into pre-commercial testing. In close collaboration with commercial teams, marketing in addition to R&D, You will leverage that the outcome of that pre-commercial field trials testing to quantify the relative value of each product to our grower customers and partners.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop our plant/product portfolio deployment strategy in alignment with Fall Creek short- and long-term growth goals.
  • Build annual pricing strategy working with key cross-functional stakeholders, including published list price, published discounts, and local sales discount allocations.
  • Build strategy for market research to support pricing strategy development.
  • Serve as key member of commercial leadership team to coordinate efforts, from defining the commercial portfolio, to building the annual crop plan, to translating that into an effective production plan.
  • Serve as an anchor to shepherd the successful execution of Fall Creek’s product and mix roadmap
  • Work cross functionally to ensure product deployment and pricing strategy is effectively enabled at the field sales team level, including:
    • Being central to the late-stage product advancement process to understand the value of commercial product portfolio relative to competition and to the grower
    • Develop and maintain product/variety profitability structure
    • Partnering with Operations to ensure seamless implementation of plans each season.
  • Lead Fall Creek’s outlicensing effort including and not limited to Identifying new business opportunities and negotiating contracts to secure deals.
  • In close alignment with Key account management team, collaborate in the management of relationships with current licensing partners.
  • Manage team to drive the work outlined above.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in horticulture, agronomy, Business or related field
  • MBA, or other relevant advanced degree, preferred
  • Agriculture/horticulture background required
  • 10+ years' experience in agriculture/horticulture, with experience in product management and or applied research
