Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. You will prepare financial statements, process payroll, process AP, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• A/P & Payroll Processing: perform accounts payable, payroll, and administrative functions for corporate entity in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls.
• Month-end and year-end close: Managing and assisting with the accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Account reconciliation and analysis: Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger accounts, analyzing financial records, and resolving discrepancies.
• Journal entries: Preparing and reviewing journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Assisting with budget preparation, preparing monthly budget variance analyses, and providing insights for future financial planning.
• Audits and compliance: Supporting and overseeing internal and external audits, including preparing tax returns and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a master's degree and/or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification will be a bonus
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Technical accounting expertise: Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing financial statements and ensuring accuracy.
• Time management and organization: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
