The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center (MSMOC), and most of the facilities departments will report directly to this COO. This key member of the team will be a seasoned healthcare executive capable of driving operational excellence and results.

We will depend on our Chief Operating Officer to:
- Manage the overall leadership and operation of all MSMOC entities
- Take responsibility for the development, retention, hiring, performance management, of company’s managers and directors
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and mange productivity metrics and efficiencies
- Manage the operating budget and allocate resources to optimize business results
- Assist in development of strategies to drive growth, profitability, and effective allocation of resources
- Lead and actively participate within the Operations Leadership Team to ensure collaboration and best practice sharing amongst all stakeholders
- Actively engage to make MSMOC the employer of choice in the market
- Improve patient experience and enhance infrastructure by leveraging existing and new technologies
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization
- Work to improve practice performance and promote excellent patient care
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of five (5) years of managerial and leadership experience in orthopedics or a highly relatable field
- Proven analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and quantitative abilities
- Highly skilled in diplomacy, influencing, and collaborating in decision-making processes across all levels of the organization
- Ownership mentality and results-oriented, able to overcome obstacles
- Self-motivated with the willingness and commitment to exceed expectations, learn and professionally grow with the organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments in a changing environment with competing projects
