The IT Senior Project & Portfolio Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing the IT project portfolio for a rapidly growing oil and gas company. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex IT projects, aligning initiatives with business strategy, and driving portfolio governance across the enterprise. The role requires a blend of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on project delivery expertise, with a strong focus on value creation, risk management, and operational excellence measured against Objectives & Key Results as defined in conjunction with the ITLT and the Crescent Leadership Teams.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
- Oversee the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, business priorities, and business value metrics.
- Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps, tracking benefits realization and value delivery.
- Facilitate governance forums, providing visibility into portfolio performance, risks, and dependencies.
- Support prioritization and resource allocation decisions, balancing demand against available capacity.
Project Leadership
- Lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional IT projects from initiation through closure.
- Define scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with stakeholders.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution using best practice utilizing agile best practices.
- Ensure adherence to IT and cybersecurity standards, industry compliance, and data governance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between IT, business units, and executive leadership.
- Present clear, concise updates on project and portfolio status, risks, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Foster collaboration between IT, operations, and other business functions to ensure business value realization.
Process & Capability Development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the PPMO framework, tools, and standards.
- Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members on project management best practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning within the IT organization
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field or commensurate experience.
- 10+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in portfolio or program management.
- Strong background in the oil and gas industry or other asset-intensive sectors preferred.
- Proven success in managing multi-million-dollar IT projects and programs.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Required Technologies: PowerBI and expert MS Excel
- Preferred Technologies: MS Azure DevOps - (ADO)
