Job Summary:

The Roustabout is responsible for performing a variety of manual labor and equipment operation tasks to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of oilfield and natural gas facilities. This role ensures well sites and related infrastructure are safe, operational, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. Working outdoors in varying conditions, the Roustabout contributes to Dugan Production’s operational success by assisting with equipment installation, facility upkeep, and general field support.

Essential Duties:

• Install, repair, and maintain oil and gas well site equipment, including piping, valves, pumps, and motors.
• Assist with the construction of well pads, cement pads, and pumping unit foundations.
• Perform facility construction and site maintenance, including grading and drainage ditch work.
• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, or other moving/lifting machinery.
• Safely secure and transport equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform general cleanup and housekeeping of well sites and surrounding work areas.
• Conduct minor repairs to machines and equipment by replacing damaged or worn parts.
• Assist in dismantling or assembling field structures or equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and report hazards immediately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and light/heavy machinery.
• Understanding of oilfield equipment and safe work practices.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and physically demanding environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Time management skills to complete assignments on schedule.
• Commitment to company values of communication, accountability, and teamwork.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Previous oilfield or construction experience preferred.
• Must meet Driver Acceptability Profile requirements (driving position).
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Working Conditions: 

• Field-based work with frequent exposure to outdoor weather, uneven terrain, and oilfield conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting/kneeling, and lifting.
• Constant lifting of up to 30 lbs.; occasional lifting of 31–100 lbs.
• May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, or around heavy machinery.
