Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Sign on Bonus Eligible!
Program/Location: Youth Point (61 Industrial Park Rd., Plymouth, MA)
Education/Licensure: NP licensed in Massachusetts, 3+ years experience working with child/adolescent population, knowledgeable in the field of substance use disorder & mental health conditions
Salary: $75 - $85/hr (Experience, licensure, & education dependent)
Status: Full Time, 40hrs/week, schedule is flexible, but Fridays are needed. Possibility for some hybrid hours if needed, but primarily on site.

About Us
High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.
Outpatient substance use disorder and mental health services are located across Southeastern Massachusetts in Brockton, New Bedford, and Plymouth. These services are available during the day, as well as evenings. We offer individual, group, family services, and medication management to address diverse clinical needs. An interdisciplinary team of professionals includes licensed social workers, clinicians, psychiatrists, and psychologists.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner must be licensed in Massachusetts.
- 3+ years of experience working specifically with children and adolescent populations.
- Knowledgeable in the field of substance use disorder and mental illnesses.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Requirements
- Must present as courteous and professional at all times
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
- Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAHO`s electronic medical records
- Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner
- An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
- Demonstrated ability to work with the alcohol / chemical dependent population as well as the mental health population
- Assist in utilization review activities, as needed.
- An understanding of boundaries and ethics
- Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations
- TB screening
- Certification in the HPHAO approved de-escalation program
- CPR Certification
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Duties & Responsibilities
- Completes documentation including assessment, medication evaluation, progress notes, medical orders, and discharge summary
- Attend daily treatment team meetings and other meetings as directed by Supervisor
- Insuring adherence to Joint Commission and DPH standards and regulations
- Utilization Review calls as required
- Ensure that quality care is delivered to patient within a therapeutic environment
- Utilize standard precautions at all times
- Demonstrates behaviors that align with the patients rights policy
- Attend mandatory trainings
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
