Dual Assistant General Manager
Residence Inn & Courtyard by Marriott
Location: Central Islip, NY
Are you an experienced hospitality leader ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a motivated Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at our dual-branded Marriott properties in Central Islip. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong operations experience who’s ready to grow into a higher leadership role.
Position Overview
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across both properties. You’ll lead teams, drive guest satisfaction, and help maintain a strong, service-focused culture. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be empowered to make decisions and help shape the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage daily hotel operations across departments
- Lead, motivate, and coach team members to achieve performance goals
- Maintain high guest service standards and address service opportunities
- Act as a service ambassador, resolving guest concerns with professionalism
- Help oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to meet financial targets
- Provide support in recruiting, training, and developing team members
- Step into key operational roles as needed to ensure smooth coverage
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience as an Operations or Front Desk Manager (preferred)
- Marriott brand experience and/or experience with new hotel openings (a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
