Job Overview:
The Accounts Payable clerk will work as part of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with internal partners.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Procurement team to perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in quantity, pricing, and compliance with established thresholds.
· Process vendor invoices accurately and route them through the appropriate approval workflow.
· Verify and ensure accurate general ledger and cost center coding for all transactions prior to entry into the accounting system.
· Maintain complete and organized records by attaching all supporting documentation to vendor invoice records.
· Assist with internal and external audits and provide documentation for tax compliance as needed.
· Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, ensuring proper general ledger coding and resolving discrepancies as necessary
.·. Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by management
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- An urgency for deadlines and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Intermediate level or higher MS Excel skills
- NetSuite or other ERP experience a plus
- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program
