GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: Serves as a dedicated resource within the IT Operations team focused on supporting and resolving network-related service requests and incidents. Responsible for troubleshooting connectivity, access control, and hardware issues across the environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
    Respond to and resolve network-related tickets submitted by internal departments.
    Troubleshoot and escalate issues related to LAN/WAN, wireless, DNS/DHCP, and user connectivity.
    Serve as the primary point of contact for F5 load balancer support and minor configuration updates.
    Assist with Cisco ISE configurations and policy troubleshooting.
    Coordinate with Network Engineers to ensure consistency in firewall policies and routing decisions.
    Participate in the on-call rotation for network services, supporting firewall, F5, and switching hardware as needed.
    Document common resolutions, network issues, and configuration changes.
    Assist with onboarding/offboarding of devices and users, including VLAN assignments and access control.
    Support patching, firmware upgrades, and basic maintenance activities
    Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all CRL, CRL subsidiaries, legal entities and client information.
    Be able to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or F5 CTS preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 
•    3 years of experience in a hands-on IT operations or network support role.
•    Experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM; APM/ASM a plus).
•    Experience supporting or configuring switches, firewalls, or access points.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:  
•    Familiarity with Cisco ISE and 802.1X authentication workflows.
•    Strong troubleshooting skills across Layers 1–4 of the OSI model.
•    Comfortable working with ticketing systems, change management workflows, and IT documentation tools
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
•    Good verbal, written, interpersonal communications skills 
•    Strong time management skills 
•    Sound judgment and decision-making abilities; must work well under pressure; multi-tasking with the ability to follow instructions precisely 
•    Ability to prioritize and work independently
•    Ability to be at work and on time
•    Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, clients and management

EQUIPMENT:  PC and communications equipment

OTHER:  Overtime and weekend work as necessary according to workload and/or projects; occasional travel is required; this is an “on-call” position requiring the use of wireless phone for after-hours contact.
