RN Non-Invasive Cardiac Procedures; 1.0FTE, Day Shift bei UnityPoint Health - Meriter

Shift: 8 hr., Day shift, Monday-Friday with on-call weekend rotation.
 

The primary role of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Procedures Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide clinical services for patients being treated and/or evaluated for cardiac arrhythmias who are undergoing transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, implant/explant of cardiac loop recorders, have cardiac implanted devices, external cardiac monitors and/or are undergoing stress testing. They provide this service in compliance with the policies, procedures and protocols of UnityPoint Health - Meriter and under the direction of a licensed physician who is a member of the Hospital Medical staff. Hospital and clinic protocols are developed in consultation and with the guidance of a general cardiologist, as well as a cardiologist who has received training in Electrophysiology.

Education: 

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis.

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) 

• One-year critical care and/or cardiology experience

• Core knowledge of clinical cardiology/electrophysiology
• Basic rhythm interpretation skills 
• Basic computer skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills 
• Alaris pump experience
• Advanced rhythm interpretation
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position
