Stipend=$3500.00
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Technical Director to work with our high school theater program. This position will assist the Technical Director in all aspects of production, from design to execution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for theater and a strong understanding of technical elements, including set construction, lighting design, and sound engineering. You will be a key mentor for our students, teaching them valuable skills and guiding them through the creative process.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and construction of theatrical sets.
Work with students to program and execute lighting plots.
Guide students in the setup and operation of sound equipment and programs.
Supervise students during after-school and weekend technical sessions.
Ensure a safe working environment for all students and staff.
Schedule:
Wednesdays & Fridays: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Additional hours: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, two to three times per week during the school day.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in technical theater (set construction, lighting, sound).
Experience working with or mentoring students is a plus.
Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background check.
