Job Summary

The Executive Director of Wellbeing and Support Services is responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for large-scale organizational and department priorities, including cross-sector and interagency partnerships as well as statewide initiatives with considerable regional impact. This executive serves as a senior operational partner to the Chief of Wellbeing and Support Services. The position leads and scales broad-based organizational change initiatives, planning efforts, policy formulation, interagency collaboration and coordination, and the implementation of effective and innovative efforts designed to enhance the wellbeing of students, families, employees, and communities across LACOE, its 80 partner districts, and more than 300 charter organizations across Los Angeles County. Responsibilities include supporting and/or overseeing divisional work, senior managers and staff, and strategic projects as assigned. The Executive Director reports directly to the Chief of Wellbeing and Support Services.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of leadership experience in K–12 education, including district or county-level administration. EDUCATION: Master’s degree in education, social work, public health, or a related field required; Doctorate preferred. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Must possess all the following): A valid California Administrative Services Credential A valid California K-12 Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
