Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services � working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. The Housing Program Compliance Specialist is responsible for assisting the Housing Program Coordinator with file maintenance and review, and financial assistance requests for individuals and families experiencing and at risk of homelessness. This position is a member of a team dedicated to ending homelessness in southeastern Ohio Counties; Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, and Vinton. Works closely with clients and case managers to achieve permanent housing stability through federal, state, and local resources.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $22.26 per hour.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains working knowledge of program requirements and local housing and utility resources.
- Reviews all program files for completion and accuracy before submitting for approval.
- Coordinates with Housing Specialists to correct existing file deficiencies.
- Verifies eligibility, income, and rent subsidy calculations, according to program guidelines.
- Reviews all program financial assistance requests for eligibility, completeness, and accuracy; submits to Housing Program Managers for approval.
- Tracks financial assistance requests through payment; reconciles for accuracy.
- Submits necessary data, including payment information and move-in dates, to the Data team for HMIS entry.
- Maintains necessary documentation & files; participates in program monitoring.
- Attends team and program planning meetings, cross-systems training, and acquires knowledge of community resources.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required, minimum three years of directly relevant experience or Bachelor�s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated a high degree of cultural awareness.
- Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred.
- Experience working with Affordable Housing, Property Management, and/or HUD Programs, including HCV, PSH, and/or RRH programs, preferred.
- Licensed and able to operate a motor vehicle with an appropriate level of insurance coverage.
- Must obtain Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) licensure within 6 months.
- Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
- Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
