Closing Date: 26th September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £26,966 - £29,174
Hours: 28 hours

Stirling Council is committed to hearing from those who receive our services to evaluate the impact of our supports.  We value the voice of lived experience to continue to improve service delivery and enhance the outcomes for those we support.

Recognising VOICE as a key pillar within The Promise. We have begun this journey with previous posts with a focus on advocacy and participation, and are seeking to further our commitment, continuing to focus on the voices of those who are harder to reach.

We are seeking to recruit an individual to help us continue our commitment to #Keepthepromise.

The post is a part time, permanent post (28 hours).

The aim of this post is to enhance the support available to those in a range of groups which may be otherwise marginalised, recognising some young people can find it challenging to participating with existing offers to provide feedback.

This post seeks to align this participation alongside mainstream offers within existing and established groups, in order to ensure equity of offer.  This will in turn produce a rounded representation of the voice, reflective of a range of those who receive our services.

In doing so the post holder will work alongside

  • those receiving voluntary support from our service
  • care experienced young people
  • those who have, or are at risk of coming into conflict with the law, and
  • those who have left the care system and are in receipt of, or are eligible for, aftercare support.

In order to create trusting relationships to support meaningful engagement this post could involve both providing direct support (individual or group) and creating spaces for seeking coordinated views of those receiving a service.

These views and experiences will be heard by senior leaders and will provide opportunities for collaborative co-production of future service design and strategic planning by taking account of those with lived experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is compassionate, enthusiastic and committed to amplifying the voice of young people in order to influence necessary change.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Adults & Children.  If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
