Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
Tenstorrent is looking for engineering interns to join our dynamic team. We know junior engineers want to explore different areas and expand their skill sets. The ideal candidates will have a wealth of exposure designing PCBs either through school or side project enthusiasm, A background in electrical engineering, electronics or relevant field is required as you will be exposed to a multitude of designs, lifecycle stages and debug efforts. A deep love of all things high speed is appreciated!
Join a small but mighty team shaping the future of ultra-fast data communication. From cutting-edge signal integrity design to hands-on lab validation, this internship is built for those who geek out over high-speed hardware and precision engineering.
Who You Are
- An excited student working on PCB designs for school, hobbies, and student teams
- Comfortable with ECAD tools (Altium, OrCAD/Allegro) and excited to learn more.
- Curious about high-speed circuits, with some exposure to RF or digital design.
- Comfortable in the lab — scopes, VNAs, TDRs, and others.
What We Need
- Support in layout and simulation of interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, and GDDR.
- Help analyze channel performance using S-parameters and eye diagrams.
- Assist in building a library of SI components from real-world measurements.
- Collaborate with design teams and vendors on material, stackups, and specs.
What You Will Learn
- How to design and tune microwave-speed interconnects from the ground up.
- The full lifecycle: design, simulate, build, test, debug, repeat.
- Industry-grade tools like HFSS and ADS — and how to use them right.
- How world-class hardware gets built (and what happens when it doesn’t).
