    Job Description:

    This is a field-based role in Ontario with potential for some responsibility outside of province. Some travel will be required.

    About The Position:

    Market Access is committed to providing strategic expertise and value-added solutions to ensure timely public and private market access for all Sobi Canada products. The team continuously evaluates capability gaps and needed enhancements to ensure commercial success in today’s rapidly evolving and challenging healthcare landscape.

    Reporting to the Director, Patient Access, the Associate Director of Field Market Access is responsible for leading the development of strategies to gain, improve and defend access for Sobi Canada promoted and pipeline products with public and private payers. The Associate Director, Market Access will be responsible for establishing Sobi Canada as a natural partner to our external stakeholders in forming partnerships and developing solutions that lead to a positive business environment, optimal access for our products, and better health outcomes for patients.
     

    Responsibilities:

    • Secure timely Market Access for all Sobi products in your region and through Private Payers.
    • Per brand/product – develop, maintain, and continuously optimize the patient access strategy and payer value proposition throughout its lifecycle.
    • Build, maintain, and engage with an extensive network of relevant stakeholders within the assigned region to develop government, physician, and patient advocates in support of national and regional reimbursement initiatives, regional and national policies, and regional and national patient support.
    • Develop and execute robust regional plans for patient access based on Sobi Canada’s strategic objectives and brand plans.
    • Manage and partner with relevant regional and national patient groups, and other stakeholders.
    • Oversee Product Listing Agreement initiatives and payer engagements.  Responsible for negotiation strategy based on local payer priorities, experience, and needs.
    • Participate on Brand Teams, act as an advisor on issues pertaining to reimbursement and stakeholder relations
    • Maintain strong and up to date understanding and intelligence of the Canadian policy landscape, payer environment (public and private), CADTH, INESSS, pCPA, and provincial decision-making process.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher required, ideally in a scientific field or Min. 5 years of experience in market access and/or related functions (e.g. HEOR)
    • Canadian market access, health economics and reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
    • min. 7 yrs experience in field facing roles in pharmaceuticals in Canada
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the current pharmaceutical and biological health policy and private payer arenas.
    • Strong Commercial/ business background an asset

    • Outstanding strategic thinking skills—proven ability to identify/define business questions and issues, synthesize information from multiple sources, conduct analysis, formulate actionable recommendations

    • Ability to think creatively in developing and implementing business solutions

    • Adaptive style with ability to influence and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
