Crafted Highlights: 

As a Beverage Research & Development Intern you will be part of our Early Talent Program. Our Early Talent Program is Molson Coors’ undergraduate summer internship program, where students are exposed to the beverage industry, engaged in real-world problem-solving, and immersed in social and educational opportunities with other interns.  The internship is a full-time summer position from May 4 - August 7 (Canada interns) and May 27 - August 7 (U.S. interns). 

Housing assistance is available to candidates who meet eligibility requirements. Applicants must be an undergraduate student (enrolled in undergraduate courses), during the summer internship, to participate in the Early Talent Program. Interns who successfully complete the Early Talent Program are considered for full-time positions within Molson Coors Beverage Company, upon graduation. 

 

  

What You’ll Be Brewing:

 

You will work very closely with the R&D Innovation Development Team on evaluating different type of powder ingredients for NPD applications, learn about their physical and chemical properties, and find the optimal stability, usage, and cost.  Most of your time will be spent working with current/new recipes and ingredient suppliers. 

 

  • Support the Development Team and NPD on the exploration of new ingredients and their application in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Establish requirements: application, processing, stability, usage, storage conditions and cost.
  • Investigating, validating & summarizing different ingredient trends with associated specifications and applications for North America
  • Work with pilot team to understand process on both systems and share detail out with development team
  • Engage with identified suppliers to gain insight into new ingredients capabilities and associated quality parameters.
  • Including process benchmarking & reapplication across processes, potential review/document ingredient storage/usage of new ingredients in North America

 

Key Ingredients:

  • You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Flavor Chemist, Fermentation Scientist, Sensory Scientist
  • Demonstrated self-motivated, personal leadership
  • Interpersonal collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with data and information
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate technical data to support recommendations
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with structured problem tools useful but not mandatory
