Provide supervision, training and support to supported workers in completing assigned commercial janitorial contract sites. This position is a working supervisor position that oversees a crew of workers with disabilities. Responsible for the workers’ safety & training program while completing janitorial services at commercial locations.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that the supported worker’s rights and dignity are protected, and that they have maximum opportunities to fully participate as a member of the landscape/policing department.
- To be the “safety professional,” always ensuring that safety policies and procedures are followed without exception.
- Must be able to drive a large crew-cab pick-up truck.
- Assume responsibility of all equipment used on jobs, including care and safe operation, promptly reporting damage or losses.
- Submit manifests daily to manager and other documentation as required.
- Enter required data electronically daily via cell phone apps.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Person-Centered Plans for assigned workers and maintain pertinent documentation.
- Take responsibility for the professional maintenance of assigned contracts, ensuring contract requirements are completed within allotted time.
- Complete all agency required trainings for position.
- As a working supervisor, demonstrate the techniques used in policing work, and set the pace for the workers.
- Will be required to work evenings, weekends or holidays as required by work schedule, (including snow removal), or training.
- Maintain assigned vehicle, reporting problems or damage immediately. Complete vehicle maintenance records as required.
- Attend all meetings and trainings as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- High school diploma or G.E.D required.
- Valid driver’s license (not provisional) with a clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Some related maintenance experience required (i.e. custodial/landscape).
Preferred:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Experience with outdoor work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Some computer skills necessary.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills necessary.
- Must work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience using cell phone applications helpful.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, push, pull, and carry a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies. Requires good physical coordination and stamina.
- All work is outdoors year-round. Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Work locations are often in dangerous locations including parking lots, roadways, and commuter rail systems.
- Some evenings and weekends are required.
- Must be available by use of a personal cell phone.
