Job Summary
The Accounting Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing and optimizing accounting operations within a shared services environment. This individual will be responsible for managing and improving end-to-end finance processes, including Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Record to Report (R2R). The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in building, leading, and transforming accounting shared services centers, with a proven ability to drive operational excellence, standardization, and scalability.

Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Shared Services Center, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and timeliness across all processes.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of O2C, P2P, and R2R processes, driving standardization and automation opportunities.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and process performance metrics to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Tax, Treasury, IT, Procurement, and Business Units) to streamline workflows and resolve escalations.
- Drive transformation initiatives, including process reengineering, technology adoption, and implementation of best practices in shared services.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.
- Manage external audits and support internal audit requirements.
- Champion change management and support the integration of acquisitions or new business processes into the shared services model.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within a Shared Services Center type team format
- Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required
Skills
- Strong expertise in end-to-end Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and optimizing accounting shared services centers.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting standards (US GAAP or IFRS).
- Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives, including process standardization, automation, and system implementations (ERP/SaaS tools experience highly desirable).
- Exceptional leadership, people management, and communication skills with experience managing teams across locations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Travel: No significant recurring travel expected, but some limited US and International travel may be required
