Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is seeking a skilled and motivated Used Car Automotive Technician to join our service team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring every pre-owned vehicle on our lot meets the Mercedes-Benz standard for safety, performance, and reliability—delivering the luxury experience our customers expect.

What You’ll Do

• Perform precise and efficient work on repair orders, from inspection through completion.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and reconditioning for pre-owned vehicles.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment and test drives to identify and resolve issues.
• Service and repair core systems: engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical, and more.
• Partner with Service Advisors to document findings and provide professional recommendations.
• Complete warranty and reconditioning work according to manufacturer and dealership standards.

Who We’re Looking For

• Experienced automotive technician with a background in used/pre-owned vehicles.
• ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain with support).
• Experience with European or luxury brands is a plus—Mercedes-Benz experience highly valued, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Time Off & Holidays

Paid Time Off (PTO):

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience
• Available to work flexible hours & weekends.
• Previous automotive sales experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• Ready to hit the ground running on learning new product ins & outs.
• Effective communication skills 
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Basic mathematical aptitude
• Ability to apply and understand reasoning.
• Clean driving record, with valid driver license.
• Willing to submit to a background check & drug screening.
