Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team and support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients by providing personalized care and support in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Full-time time shift available:
- Monday to Friday - 8am to 4pm
Part-time shift available:
- Saturday and Sunday - 8am to 8pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Monitor and document clients’ behaviors, progress, and any changes in condition
- Support clients during community outings and recreational activities Collaborate with team members, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for clients and staff
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
- Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
- Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
- Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
- Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
- Daily chart documentation
- Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in behavioral health or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with individuals with IDD or in a behavioral health setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations
- Basic knowledge of behavioral health principles and safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for community outings
