Job Description:Our client, one of the world largest oil producer, is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector. (Contract)
The position is located in Santa Maria, CA and would start immediately and last until Dec 15, 2025.
Overview of the role:
- The deployment of a QM-27 qualified inspector on a resident basis.
- Attend inspections as per ITP, Witnessing Mechanical Run Test, Rotor unbalance test, sound level test, gas leak test, Visual inspection of bearings & internals after test, Seals, Final inspection & shipping release.
- Must have a Certified API - SIRE (Source Inspector Rotating Equipment)
- Must have an ARAMCO approved inspector with QM27 code endorsement
- Minimum of 2 -3 yrs inspection experience of rotating equipment mainly compressors, pumps, etc..
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial inspection experience in Oil & Gas industry.
- Must have Quality Assurance / Inspection experience of rotating equipment mainly compressors, pumps, etc..
- Quality Assurance experience of compressors would be an asset.
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday – 8 to 10 hours/day
- Hourly rate – $50 to $55/hr + $0.70/km
- If the inspection site is beyond a round trip of 200 miles from the inspector place of residence, a per diem may be considered.
- The inspector will be required to sign an independent contractor agreement/sub-contractor agreement (1099) with SGS North America Inc.
