Toledo Tool & Die is adding CNC Programmers to our team to support our continued growth.

3rd Shift: Sunday– Thursday, 10:00pm-6:00am
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
- Stop machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences.
- Lift work pieces to machines manually or with hoists or cranes.
- Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.
- Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts.
- Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.
- Stop production if unsafe parts, actions or poor-quality conditions exist
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Requirements
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and graduation from a technical school is preferred.
- At least two (2) years relevant job experience using various tools, including but not limited to knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Experience using computer aided manufacturing CAM software, Mastercam preferred.
- Experience on Haas Vertical Machining Center is preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
