Toledo Tool & Die is adding CNC Programmers to our team to support our continued growth.

This is a full-time position based Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.

3rd Shift: Sunday– Thursday, 10:00pm-6:00am

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
• Stop machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences.
• Lift work pieces to machines manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts.
• Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.
• Stop production if unsafe parts, actions or poor-quality conditions exist
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and graduation from a technical school is preferred.
• At least two (2) years relevant job experience using various tools, including but not limited to knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Experience using computer aided manufacturing CAM software, Mastercam preferred.
• Experience on Haas Vertical Machining Center is preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
