This role is responsible for supporting, administering & analyzing variable and sales incentive programs for strategic growth and sales teams nationwide across Cetera Financial Group’s broker dealer communities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly, quarterly & annual calculation, communication and payment of sales and strategic incentive pay for eligible employees and plans spanning the breadth of Cetera Financial Group.
  • Responsible for the tracking & support the day-to-day administration of incentive compensation plans for all eligible employees, including, but not limited to: maintaining employee and plan data, ensuring appropriate documentation & communication, updating applicable targets & goals, and updating territory changes.
  • Partner closely with Finance data reporting & business operations teams to secure accurate & timely data needed for the administration of incentive plans and programs.
  • Work closely with business teams assigned incentive administration responsibilities to ensure accurate calculation, payment, accounting, and reporting of incentive and sales results for respective teams and plans.
  • Improve current incentive calculation models, with the goal of greater efficiency, consistency & ease of communication.
  • Respond to issues and questions concerning incentive plan payments and policies.
  • Create & maintain incentive compensation plan documents.
  • Support the ongoing review, evaluation, and modeling of sales incentive programs.
  • Provide proactive analytics on sales incentives results, including budget vs. actual variances.
  • Assist & support the implementation, communication, support and administration of new, and enhancements to existing, incentive programs, plans, and policies.
  • Play key role in incentive system acquisition and implementation project.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior experience in an incentive administration, sales operations and/or Finance role supporting sales incentive plan operations
  • Proven attention to detail, accuracy & delivering results to deadlines
  • Proven effectiveness in partnering, engaging and working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment delivering accurate information
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups and data analysis

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with incentive compensation systems is a plus (e.g., Xactly, Callidus, IBM Varicent, Cognos, etc.)
  • Experience in incentive compensation in building incentive calculation and data analysis models
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, especially with a sales customer base
  • Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines on assignments
  • Superior listening skills
  • Team player and a “good of the organization” attitude
  • Strong dedicated work ethic
  • Adaptable to change along with the needs & priorities of the business
  • Courteous & empathetic to client concerns

 

Minimum Required Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent.
  • 3 year(s) of experience in a compensation or commissions analyst role

Compensation: 

The base annual salary range for this role is $55,000 to $80,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus.  Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
