Temporary Part-Time Baker's Assistant (Through Early January 2026)


29 Hours Per Week / $17.00 per hour


(The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.)


Summary: Under the general supervision of the Worksite Supervisor, will work on a part-time basis from 8am - 2pm Monday through Friday, and provide high-quality food service, specifically focusing on the preparation and baking of MHALA’s locally famous cookies. This position is temporary with an estimated duration of 3 months.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  This is not an exhaustive task list, and other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate or necessary by the supervisor or program director.   • Will help scoop, weigh, assemble, arrange, and bake approximately 170 dozen cookies in a bakeshop setting on a daily basis.
  • Will clean up after baking
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma preferred
  • Baking experience preferred
  • Must display a high degree of reliability and accountability
  • Weekly Monday through Friday work schedule of 8am – 2pm
  • TB clearance and yearly re-test are conditions of employment
  • COVID-19 vaccinations or booster shots are not currently required, however this may become a requirement in the future. Failure to abide by any agency policy, including those relating to a vaccine or booster shot may result in termination of employment
  • Employment verification directly from three (3) past employers within the most recent 7-year period
