Job Title: Robotic Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Robotics Engineer with a strong interdisciplinary background to join our growing team. As a key member in a small and agile startup environment, you will take ownership of the end-to-end development of robotic systems — spanning from system architecture, software development, AI/ML integration, to deployment and testing.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven problem solver, eager to learn new skills, and comfortable collaborating across disciplines. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotic applications with high autonomy and direct impact.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robotic system architecture, integrating hardware, software, and AI components.
  • Develop and optimize robot perception, localization, mapping, navigation, and manipulation algorithms.
  • Apply AI/ML methods (e.g., deep learning, reinforcement learning, sensor fusion) to enhance perception, planning, and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain software infrastructure using ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python.
  • Conduct simulation, prototyping, and field testing, ensuring robust system performance.
  • Debug and resolve cross-disciplinary issues across hardware and software modules.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, communicate progress effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or above in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Solid foundation in robotics fundamentals (kinematics, dynamics, control, SLAM, perception, or planning).
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python, with hands-on experience in ROS/ROS2.
  • Familiarity with robotic sensors (lidar, cameras, IMU, force/torque sensors) and actuators.
  • Experience in system integration, testing, and debugging with real robotic platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive learning mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus):

  • Experience with AI/ML in robotics (e.g., computer vision, deep reinforcement learning).
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, real-time control, or hardware-software co-design.
  • Hands-on experience with simulators such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Mujoco, or Unity.
  • Track record in robotics competitions, publications, or open-source contributions.

Key Attributes We Value

  • Self-driven: You take initiative and push projects forward independently.
  • Communicative: You can clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively.
  • Adaptive learner: You are eager to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving challenges.
  • Ownership: You take full responsibility for your work, from design to delivery, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Why Join Us

  • High ownership & impact: Play a key role in a small, fast-moving team where your work directly shapes the product.
  • Full-stack robotics exposure: Work across system, software, and AI — not limited to a narrow role.
  • Collaborative culture: Join an open, innovative environment that values ideas and initiative.
  • Rapid growth: Accelerate your learning curve with opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • Future-focused: Help shape the next generation of real-world robotics applications.
  • Competitive benefits: Attractive package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K match, free lunch and more.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and verification of employment authorization will be required at the time of hire.
