Responsibilities:
  • The EMS Outreach and Education Liaison supports the TowerDIRECT Director of EMS by coordinating operations and services between Tower Health and EMS agencies, and by developing and implementing education programs for TowerDIRECT and other EMS agency personnel.
  • This role is focused on building strong relationships with, and between Tower Health hospitals and EMS agencies, and involves developing curriculum, conducting skills assessments, and ensuring that educational activities comply with appropriate regulations and standards.
  • Serves as a bridge between Tower Health and community EMS agencies, enhancing communication, fostering relationships, coordinating pre hospital and hospital operations.
  • Act as a liaison between the EMS department and the community, providing information and addressing inquiries about EMS services and health initiatives.
  • Develop and distribute outreach materials, including (but not limited to) brochures, newsletters, presentations, and informational articles.
  • Works closely with internal and external EMS, fire, police, and other public safety departments to coordinate outreach and educational efforts.
  • Plans, develops, and delivers educational programs for TowerDIRECT personnel.
  • Ensures that TowerDIRECT personnel are trained in the latest medical protocols, techniques, and safety standards.
  • Develops curriculum, conducts skills assessments, and ensures that educational activities comply with state and national certification standards.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to create an effective learning environment, promote continuing education, and uphold regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs, adjusting strategies as needed to improve impact and performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on outreach and educational activities, department and community impact, and key performance indicators. 
Qualifications:
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
  • ACLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • PA licensed EMT-P or PHRN
