Job Summary
Delivers professional, skilled nursing services for Jail Health Services and other clinical
programs as assigned by Clinical Services Manager. Responsible for maintaining the highest
standards in clinical nursing practice and adherence to policies, procedures, guidelines and
standards of practice and Gunnison County Health & Human Services (HHS). Provides for
the preventive, therapeutic and restorative aspects of nursing care based on systematic
assessment of client, family and community needs and core public health services.
Pay Rate
The hourly range is from $34.81 to $39.63 depending on experience.
This position is 15 hours per week.
*The County pays monthly on the last week day of the month.*
This position is currently supported by grant funding, which allows us to advance the county's strategic initiatives. Employment beyond the current grant period is dependent on funding availability.

Requirements
- Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
- Current license to practice (in good standing) as a registered nurse (RN) in Colorado.
- Special certification as appropriate and required for expanded functions.
- Current CPR required.
Qualifications/Education
- A Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a school accredited by the National League
- of Nursing. Public Health experience preferred, or
- Graduation from a N.L.N., State approved diploma school of nursing, with three
- years’ experience, at least one of which includes supervision. Public Health
- experience is preferred.
- For expanded functions, completion of an organized educational program in a specific
- clinical area.
- Recent pertinent continuing education.
- Completion of Universal Precautions/ Bloodborne Pathogen training within 30 days of
- hire and annual review.
