Maintenance I – Full Time, Non-exempt, at Cedar House Life Change Center
Cedar House Life Change Center (CHLCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation 125-bed CARF Accredited treatment facility awarded as a Top Workplace in the Inland Empire for 2021 and 2022. Our organization encourages employees to grow in their positions and promotes them from within the company.
We seek a Maintenance I to join our team to continue providing high-quality Substance Abuse Treatment.

The salary range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/ Hour.

What You'll Do:
Job Functions
- Responsible for the repairs, maintenance, and safety of safety.
- Work with and assist maintenance staff, volunteers, and trainees.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and construction problems.
- Knowledge of all emergency shutoffs, i.e., water, gas, and electrical.
- Knowledge of circuit breaker center.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
- Meet daily with Maintenance Supervisor for directions on repairs.
- Safeguard the residents, visitors, and staff welfare always.
- Maintain productive working relationships with staff.
- Maintain timely and reliable attendance.
- Perform life-saving measures when needed to protect the lives of Cedar House clients and employees.
- Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
What You'll Bring:
Experience:
- Minimum of one-year previous related work experience
Education:
- Completed twelve years of education or have a GED.
- Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.
- Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 20% of the time. They will also need to move around company property in order to perform the required tasks. The employee must be capable of effectively operating, preparing, inspecting, and using company equipment. There may be occasions where the employee needs to climb up or down a ladder or equipment and position themselves to maintain and move necessary items while at work. It is essential for the employee to communicate information and ideas clearly so that others can understand. They must also be able to provide accurate information in these situations. The employee should be able to observe details at close range and occasionally move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds (individually) for various reasons. Additionally, the employee may need to work around or be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
