Overview:

The Therapeutic Services (TS) Therapist will be primarily responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to youth in foster care placements who receive Mental & Behavioral Health support services, Human Trafficking Victim/Survivor support services, and Treatment Foster Family Care support services using evidence-based trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. In certain cases, based on the special needs of the children served, the position may be gender specific.

Min:USD $65,000.00/Yr.Max:USD $70,000.00/Yr.Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Conduct assessments and screeners to identify client needs to inform treatment planning.
  • Identify client’s initial treatment needs and develops individual treatment plan in conjunction with client and foster family; oversee and ensure treatment plan implementation with foster family and assigned parties.
  • Participate in the development of the client’s service plan and ongoing updates, attends outside meetings related to the client including but not limited to IEP/ARD meetings, court hearings, Circle of Support, and Discharge Mitigation Meetings.
  • Utilize Arrow endorsed trauma-informed clinical modalities and evidence-based practices for all client and family therapeutic interventions and sessions.
  • Provide direct clinical services to include but not limited to individual, group, and family therapy in office or home setting.
  • Complete written documentation of ongoing treatment of children and progress through discharge by deadlines set by regulatory agencies, State requirements, or Arrow policy.
  • Assist in the development of discharge and aftercare plans.
  • Provide consultation, instruction and direction to other staff, referral agencies, foster family, biological family, respite providers, medical providers, educators, other caregivers, probation officers, state case workers, and other individuals as indicated by the client’s plan of care.
  • May provide additional training to foster caregivers, staff, network providers or other stakeholders.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed to prevent escalation of high-risk behavior, relapse, hospitalization, placement disruption, and other negative outcomes and serves on an on-call rotation during after-hours.
  • Review client files as well as participate in case file audits to ensure that documentation is up to date, correct and accurate for billing as well as meeting state licensing and contract standards.
  • Function as a treatment team member and attends all team meetings, internal and external trainings/seminars as well as professional conferences.
  • Complete requirements of BHEC and/or licensure regulatory boards to maintain a license in good standing meeting renewal timeframes.
  • Attend staff meetings, seminars, and professional conferences.
  • Must complete the application process for credentialling for Superior STAR Medicaid within 30 days of being hired. Actively participate in all related credentialing activities/requirements throughout the duration of employment.
  • Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
  • May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a Human Services related field required and be licensed with an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW to provide therapy in the designated State. Must be eligible for or already credentialed with Superior STAR Medicaid. Experience working with children and families involved with child welfare preferred.
