POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Team Leader the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide variety of mechanical tasks, working on CNC work centers, building maintenance, and some electrical maintenance work throughout the facility with minimal supervision.
2nd shift Monday - Thursday
2:00pm - 12:00am
Extra $1.50/hour shift premium
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide overall preventative maintenance on all production equipment, machines and overall building as necessary.
2. Perform mechanical and limited electrical work on all equipment within the facility within established codes.
3. Install replacement parts and components as needed on machinery.
4. Perform air compressor preventative maintenance as well as all weekly service requirements.
5. Assist in the installation of new equipment as well as moving existing equipment as needed.
6. Work in conjunction with area Team Leaders to repair machines that are down ensuring the least amount of downtime and lost production.
7. Provide support to outside contractors when needed.
8. Responsible for service inputting information into the maintenance tracking system.
9. Troubleshoot equipment utilizing wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, electrical testing and measuring devices as needed.
10. Work in conjunction with EHS Coordinator ensuring JARP’s overall OSHA compliance.
11. Responsible to operate wastewater treatment system ensuring it is operating within specifications.
12. Perform miscellaneous cleaning, filter changing and overall maintenance tasks.
MARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure good housekeeping practices are in place and are being followed.
2. Assist in the development of more efficient manufacturing methods, procedures and equipment.
3. Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
4. Locate replacement parts and part numbers as needed.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. A two-year degree in a related field with two years’ work experience in the Industrial Maintenance field is preferred.
2. Prior welding and CNC maintenance repair experience are also preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
2. Ability to read blueprints and other technical drawings
3. Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
4. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
5. Ability to work positively with individuals both inside and outside of the organization
6. Familiarity with computers, specifically Microsoft products
7. Strong understanding of PLC and CNC controlled equipment

Full time employees regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits. Benefits are available the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
