Job Summary
Duration through the end of October; strong possibility of extension. All work will take place on the Parnassus campus. Will train! Please note that this is a full time position (40 hours per week) but that the schedule (start time, end time, lunch hour) could vary depending on needs.
The Simulation Operations Assistant provides hands-on support for healthcare training scenarios. This role is highly physical and requires frequent standing, bending, lifting, and moving of equipment such as gurneys, manikins, and medical supplies. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down simulation rooms, preparing clinical equipment and task trainers, restocking supplies, and ensuring the simulation environment is safe, realistic, and ready for learners. The specialist works closely with faculty and staff to create an effective and engaging learning experience. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
This position reports directly to the Simulated Learning Centers (SLC) Supervisor and will support the technical and teaching activities of the Kanbar Simulation Center as well as American Heart Association
ACLS, BLS and PALS certification courses, community outreach and relationship-building activities.
