North Reading Public Schools is seeking a Head Boys' Lacrosse Coach for the Spring 2026 season. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

 

This position is anticipated to run from March 2026 until completion of the spring 2026 season.

 

Essential Duties

  • Develop a comprehensive program in grades 9 through 12
  • Develop seasonal/weekly/daily practice schedule
  • Teach rules, skills, and game strategies of the sport
  • Develop team rules and regulations regarding team discipline
  • Attend and supervise team activities including awards presentations
  • Distribute and collect equipment pre- and post- season
  • Implement and enforce student handbook, MIAA, & CAL rules
  • Assist in the storage, care, condition, and safety of practice and game equipment
  • Inspect practice and playing facilities & report unsafe conditions
  • Assist with transportation if appropriate (drive school supplied van)

Requirements

  • Coaching and playing experience preferred
  • Appropriate certification and/or license
  • MIAA Coach's Certification preferred
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
