Reports To: Global IS Controller
Job Summary:
The Controller will support the Global IS Financial Controller in managing general ledger and production accounting functions, while also playing a key role in team leadership and scaling the finance function. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, performs reconciliations, analyzes cost variances, and drives process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong costing expertise, general ledger experience, and the ability to lead and structure a team in a dynamic, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Ledger Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Costing & Variance Analysis: Lead costing processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of production costs. Provide detailed cost variance analysis reports within three business days of month-end.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the monthly close process.
- Process Improvement: Identify process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Audit: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and monthly and quarterly Blackline reporting.
- Asset control: Manage and reconcile the construction in progress and capitalize of all fixed assets
Team Leadership & Structure: Manage and mentor direct reports, help define team structure, and support scalability of the finance function.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger and production accounting roles
- Manage and Lead: Must have experience in managing teams
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
