Your role and responsibilities
- you'll be allocating and monitoring customer visits to frontline staff working in Home First
- you will be responsible for implementing changes to the customer’s package of care on our TotalMobile platform, which sends work to our frontline staff
- working with Home First Team Leaders and Managers you will ensure the area runs smoothly and efficiently
- you will be supported by the Allocation Team Leaders to regularly review capacity.
You will need
- to be responsive to accommodate workflow as this is a fast-flowing service
- ideally Level 2 in maths and English
- the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- to be competent in use of email, the internet and other desktop applications
- to be able to communicate effectively, verbally over the phone to customers and frontline workers, and over email and Teams to the wider West Home First colleagues.

The team
- Home First is a Suffolk County Council in house provision for short term reablement
- we provide a short term reablement care and assessment service to people living in their own homes
- our customers are referred to us direct from the community or via hospital discharges and our aim is to maximise their independence to reduce further hospital admissions
- we have a diverse multi-cultural team that is supportive and works closely with colleagues in wider social care and health.
- there will be opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge within Social Care
- our allocation team predominantly works from our Bury office, but we are happy to accommodate some hybrid home working days once you are trained and competent.
