South Lanarkshire Council are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated Technical Officer within Environmental Services who can accept and tackle demanding goals to ensure effective service delivery. Working as part of the Environmental Crime Team specialising in criminal enforcement of Fly Tipping Offences.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking complex pieces of work specifically in relation to Environmental Crime (Fly Tipping Enforcement), Surveillance and Prosecutions. No specific qualification is required however enforcement of criminal legislation (ideally within this area and/ or a related area) would be beneficial but not essential.
This is a temporary post for 2 years. You will require a driving licence, as all areas of the district will require to be visited.

Shift Pattern – MTWT (*Back Shift (13:30 – 21:00) F (08:45 – 16:00) S (09:00 – 17:00) Off Sunday
T(08:45-16:45)WT (13:30 -21:00)F(08:45-16:00) Off Saturday & Sunday.
Note - there is some flexibility with this indicative pattern. The council operate Agile Working and the exact start and finish times would be in line with Service needs and Colleagues availability.

Salary: £41,698 - £43,505 (please note this is inclusive of the unsociable hours of the post stated above)
