Layout Artist - Expression of interest bei Rodeo FX

The Layout Artist will capture camera movements and create the layout for 3D environments, ensuring to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX. 

Main responsibilities:

• Capture and track camera movements and create the layout for 3D environments ;
• Reproduce the movements of objects or characters ;
• Develop solutions for the tracking of 3D cameras and solve problems that may arise ;
• Create scene layout in Maya by interpreting the previs to build the foundation of the shot and sequence ;
• Work closely with the CG and Layout Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches that enhance shots, while meeting project specifications and deadlines ;
• Participate in the development of setups for the different stages of production in 3D and solve potential problems ;
• Determine the best possible creative techniques and approaches in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor, the Layout Supervisor and the Layout Lead ;
• Keeps colleagues and production informed of the status of work, issues to be resolved, ramifications of problems encountered ;
• Respect deadlines by managing time adequately.

• Experience in a similar position, within the VFX industry ;
• Good knowledge of 3DEqualizer, Nuke and Maya software ;
• Basic knowledge of photography and cinematography language ;
• Basic knowledge of onset data wrangling and reality capture ;
• Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines.
