About the Role:
Join our Margate-based salmon processing facility as a Maintenance Fitter. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our processing site plant and machinery, contributing to our mission of excellence in aquaculture and seafood.
Responsibilities:
- Support production by maintaining processing site, plant and machinery.
- Ensure optimum efficiency and product quality.
- Minimise equipment failure in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Work on dedicated projects as part of a dynamic team.
- Work across a variety of areas including the wastewater plant, production factory, and site machinery.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, preferably with experience in food production or manufacturing environments.
- A strong safety focus and unwavering commitment to a zero-harm culture.
- Proven hands-on skills including welding (TIG, MIG, Stick), machining (lathe, milling), and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude for fault-finding on mechanical and pneumatic systems, with a continuous desire to learn and improve.
- Strong team player with excellent problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrates initiative, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work weekends as required.
