The Industrial Account Manager (IAM) is responsible for all duties associated with supporting the existing customer base as well as assisting in the sales process and revenue generation at new accounts. The IAM will provide technical assistance internally and at customer facilities, perform demonstrations, provide training, and be a solutions provider and advocate of our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support sales initiatives through:
  1. Customer paint application process reviews, evaluations, and paint system  recommendations
  2. Support and lead customer line-trials as part of the selling process
  3. Support and lead new customer start-ups
  • Provide existing customer technical support:
  1.  Aid the store manager or sales team in verifying and resolving customer concerns via troubleshooting of products and application methods.
  2. Consult to improve customer application efficiency or throughput
  • Benchmark competition: Learn and communicate competitor products' strengths and weaknesses. Perform benchmarking of coatings products and application methods.
  • Train customers and internal staff on products and application methods
  • Be a product and application resource to the NCS sales and operations teams. Remain acquainted with competitive products and programs.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Demonstrated industrial painting skills and a deep understanding of industrial painting equipment is required; at least 3 years industrial application experience in a variety of application methods is preferred.
  • Must have problem solving skills specific to coatings and coatings application methods.
  • Ability to assess and compare coatings products and application methods for purposes of learning and benchmarking
  • Ability to demonstrate and train other painters about coating products and application methods, in a customer shop/booth environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed nationally, but mostly regionally in TX and OK to support sales and technical service objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear a respirator
