Do you have a passion for creating delicious, home-style meals that bring comfort and joy? At Abernethy Laurels, our residents are family, and we believe every meal should feel like it’s made with love. We’re seeking a dedicated Cook to join our culinary team and help us provide exceptional dining experiences for seniors in all levels of care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and special dining service requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with dining staff to ensure timely and high-quality meal service.
  • Bring creativity and heart to every plate, making mealtime a highlight of the day for our residents.

Minimal Education:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Certification as a ServSafe preferred.
  • 5 years of cooking experience in restaurant setting or long-term care
  • Ability to read and follow recipes; ability to write, add, and subtract.
  • Strong organizational skills and creativity in meal preparation.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and accept responsibility for accuracy and quality of work.
