BTTC Registered Nurse (RN)
Role Responsibilities:
The RN is administratively and clinically responsible to the BTTC Manager of Nursing Services. The RN delivers direct nursing services and administers medications and treatments. Documentation is completed in compliance with ICF-ID Standards and Texana policies and procedures. The RN is responsible for the coordination of health care services to consumers served. The RN assesses medical conditions and advises as to treatment, such as in emergencies. The RN may act as liaison between service providers and consumers served and physicians. The RN travels to transport consumers to medical appointments and to pick up medications from pharmacies. Travel is conducted with a Texana vehicle or in limited cases with a personal vehicle when not transporting consumers (with mileage reimbursement). The RN may serve as a backup to the BTTC Manager of Nursing Services and may perform any or all the Nursing Manager’s duties, including admissions, on-call responsibilities, and other tasks assigned by the BTTC Manager of Nursing Services. The RN works a full-time schedule (6:30 AM to 3:30 PM to include a 1-hour meal break). Duties and hours of coverage may change as program needs change.
Salary:
$62,460 (90%)
$65,930 (95% at 6mos)
$69,400 (100% at 1year)
Required Education:
Graduation from college/ University accredited by the Texas State Board of Nurse examiners with at least an associate degree in nursing.
License to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
Texas Driver’s License
Preferred Experience:
Six (6) months of experience as a practicing RN or LVN at BTTC.
