Position Summary: Works closely with relationship managers, underwriters, and senior credit department staff to analyze and structure complex loan requests. Oversees the Credit Approval Form (CAF) completion per guidelines. May lead (or assist) in presenting requests to loan committee or credit staff when necessary. Closely monitors existing lending relationships and communicates updates to senior lending and credit department staff.
Essential Functions:
- Works with loan officers to structure larger and more complex credit presentations per policy guidelines. This could include problem credits or loan workout scenarios involving relationship manager and special assets.
- Prepares loan pre-flight and loan committee presentation items, including detailed financial and collateral analysis. Participates in weekly pre-flight and committee meetings as necessary.
- Analyzes existing credit relationships based on periodic or event driven credit reviews.
- Provides advanced technical advice/assistance to loan officers as needed.
- Proactively engage with relationship managers and borrowers to ensure customer centered loan approval process.
- Mentor and train junior credit underwriting personnel.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of LSB’s lending policies as well as regulatory policies pertinent to the lending and credit function.
- Responsible for adherence to lending and credit related FDICIA controls.
- Represents Lincoln Savings Bank in a positive light in all professional duties. This includes participating in civic, community, and networking event to cultivate productive relationships for the bank.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- 4+ years underwriting and analyzing commercial loan credits.
- Strong knowledge of personal/business financial statements and tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
