JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: MSS Kids Ranch Coordinator
Classification: Seasonal Full Time
Reports To: Youth Programs Manager
Department: MSS Youth Programs
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE
The Kids Ranch Coordinator supports all programming within the Kids Ranch facility to maximize guest experience and ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality program delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate, in collaboration with KR Supervisors, the Caregiver and Support Crew staff to provide daily operational assistance and guidance on duties.
- Assist Kids Ranch Supervisors with daily product zone logistics, safety, guiding staff on daily operations, and guest service standards.
- Support snowboard operations at Kids Ranch in partnership with the Snowboard Supervisors.
- Provide logistical and operational support to supervisors for Youth Seasonal Programs including but not limited to daily line up, interfacing with parents, coordinating lunches, ensuring children are in appropriate groups, etc.
- Support the beginner experience in the Fort Wyoming learning zone to ensure smooth and safe daily operations.
- Assist with product zone check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assist with addressing guest issues and complaints in a professional, guest-focused manner.
- Facilitate communication among other JHMR departments related to Kids Ranch and MSS operations.
- Help resolve facility-related issues.
- Assist with operational training for Kids Ranch instructor staff.
- Support maintenance and oversight of Kids Adventure Trails.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Assist with upkeep and organization of Kids Ranch internal program spaces
- Assist with maintenance of external program spaces
- Assist with managing student behavioral challenges
- Provide mentorship to staff and support their professional development
- Support Pioneer and RR product zones when a supervisor or manager is unavailable including daily functions, coordinating line up, and end of day procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Mix of indoor office, and outdoor environments.
- Must be prepared to work outdoors for extended periods in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods on uneven, mountainous terrain
- Physical ability to ski or snowboard for several hours per day
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- Full-time seasonal position
- Daytime business hours, including weekends and holidays as required by business needs
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or childcare setting
- Previous experience in a youth ski school operations setting
- Demonstrated experience in guest service or customer-facing roles
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in education, childhood development or related fields.
- Experience working in snow sports school operations.
- Management or supervisory experience.
