Job Description
The position of supervisor is responsibilities for the daily work assignments, motivation, consultations, and discipline of all personnel assigned to his/her area of responsibility. It is the supervisor’s responsibility to provide support to his department through the insistence of proper operating procedures in obtaining the goals of the company. Responsible for instilling a culture of safety and continuous improvement in areas of responsibility. The incumbent is responsible for managerial tasks that include performance evaluations, training and employee development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinates the work assignments for all employees in areas of responsibility.
• Moves and manages labor to facilitate the dynamic work- flows within assigned areas.
• Review daily and weekly efficiency reports.
• Works with other departments to ensure timely deliverables.
• Responsible for supervisory tasks that include performance evaluations, training and policy enforcement, associate motivation, corrective action and overall staff development.
• Maintains Job Safety Analysis and Standard Operating Procedures for all work areas in department
• Conducts weekly departmental safety meetings
• Schedules computer based training modules for associates
• Responsible for achieving departmental production/ delivery goals.
• Maintains all housekeeping standards for department
Location
Experience Required:
• Zero to three years experience in a leaderhip position within an operations environment. Previous experience as an hourly manufacturing leadperson is helpful. .
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledgeable with computer applications and related analytical systems.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledgeable in providing employee development, recognition, delegation and guidance.
• Knowledgeable in MAPICS and AS 400 operating systems.
• Experience with lean manufacturing processes and 5S is helpful but not required.
