The Reading Specialist will provide support to students, classrooms, and teachers. This individual is responsible for coaching instructional staff on best practices for reading instruction and how to support struggling readers. This position shall assist leadership with administrative duties involving curriculum development and professional development as assigned. Must hold a valid California teaching credential . Five years of work emphasizing student reading preferred . Experience as a reading specialist, intervention teacher, instructional coach, or similar title preferred . Master’s degree preferred . Three years of successful, full-time teaching reading students in public or private school required . Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs; ability to plan and implement programmatic changes, based on data and in consultation with stakeholders . Ability to communicate with and lead a diverse community . Ability to coordinate curriculum in accordance with school-wide articulation . Possession of a valid California drivers’ license

$85,900 - $115,114 (7 Steps)
