Business Development Manager
Job Description
Cybernet Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead efforts in identifying and securing new business opportunities, primarily within the Government Sector. This role requires a strong understanding of government contracting, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate technical services at a high level.
Principal Duties
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Navigate government procurement processes and contract structures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align service offerings with client needs.
- Represent Cybernet Systems at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Assist the VP, Cybersecurity in formulating the org's BD strategy based on trending data, community factors, and Government posture. Execute tactical steps necessary to implement the strategy.
Position Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree and experience in business development, sales, or account management within the government or IT sector.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical services at a high level.
- Self-motivated with a strategic mindset and growth-oriented approach.
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with smart technologies or infrastructure security.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field (preferred but not required).
